Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at Kent State University where he
teaches courses on curriculum fundamentals, curriculum theory,
interprofessional studies, and research ethics. Jim has been an active
member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) since 1981,
has chaired the "Critical Issues in Curriculum" Special Interest Group of
this association, and recently served as chair of the "Curriculum
Theorizing" Section for this association's annual conference and as
co-editor of the "Mythopoetics of Curriculum Praxis" section of JCT:
Journal of Curriculum Theorizing. He is currently treasurer for the
American Association for the Advancement of Curriculum Studies (AAACS).
