Gary
Erickson Chief Operating Officer
Gary Erickson has
experience spanning several different areas in the computer and
automotive industries. He brings over 27 years of experience in
Information Technology management, sales, and recruiting experience
to the Great Lakes Technologies Group team. Gary began his career at
Ford Motor Company where he rapidly moved from programming to
management. He was recruited from Ford to be the Chief Information
Officer of Hoover Universal (now Johnson Controls). Gary moved from
Hoover to Vickers as their Global CIO. Gary also held positions at
Vickers as Director of North American Sales and Distribution, and
Global Director of Manufacturing and Quality. He was then recruited
to become the Senior Vice-President and Chief Information Officer
for R.L. Polk & Company. There he was responsible for all
aspects of technology implementation and business systems
development with 1,200 people and an annual budget of $65 million.
In 1994, Gary was recognized by Deloitte and Touche as one of the
top CIO’s in the country. Gary is President of the Detroit Society
of Information Managers, a member of the Board of Advisors of the
Oakland University Business School, a member of the Oakland Country
Economic Development Commission, is Chairman of the Automation Alley
eBusiness Events Committee, a member of the State of Michigan’s
I@team, and was recently appointed to the Digital Detroit Board of
Directors. His education credentials include Bachelor of Arts,
Bachelor of Engineering, and Masters of Engineering from Dartmouth
College, and Masters of Business Administration from the University
of Michigan.
