Gerald J. Billow is a
partner with Posternak, Blankstein & Lund, L.L.P. and
chair of the firm’s Health Care Practice Group. He
represents institutional and individual providers of health
care services, including health maintenance organizations and
managed care companies, hospitals, nursing homes and assisted
living facilities. He also serves the legal needs of
home health care companies, clinics and physician group
practices.
Mr. Billow counsels clients in a broad range of issues
unique to the health care industry, including third-party
reimbursement problems, licensure matters, certificates of
need, patient/institutional relations, structuring of joint
ventures, as well as avoidance of fraud and abuse and other
regulatory problems. Since hospitals and other health
care entities are faced with the same broad range of issues as
other complex corporate entities, he also handles various
corporate matters on behalf of health care clients.
Mr. Billow is a member of the American Health Lawyers
Association.
