Biography
North Florida Regional Medical Center (NFRMC) named John Quinlivan, Fellow American College of
Healthcare Executives, as its new Chief Operating Officer effective, June 30, 2003. In his new
role, Quinlivan is responsible for the administration direction, evaluation and coordination
of the functions and activities of many of the hospital's departments. He has spent the last
five years as Chief Executive Officer for an Army professional medical recruiting company
where he managed an organization of 100 medical recruiters and staff in 16 offices located
in the Southeastern U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Prior to that, he served
as a hospital Chief Operating Officer in Tacoma, Washington where he planned and supervised
operations of an integrated delivery system consisting of corporate headquarters, two hospitals,
and ambulatory surgery center, an emergency medical service, dental facility and a mental
health center. He earned a Master's Degree in Hospital Administration from Baylor University.
