BG Gallagher attended the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
BG Gallagher’s military awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with six oak leaf clusters; Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters; Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters; Southwest Asia Medal with three bronze stars; Humanitarian Service Medal; and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. He also earned the Order of Military Medical Merit, the Master Parachutist Badge, Canadian Jump Wings, German Sportsman Badge and the coveted Expert Field Medical Badge. His community awards include the J.C. Penney’s Golden Rule nomination for outstanding volunteerism and the Outstanding Young American Award. He is active in the Boy Scouts of America and earned the Order of the Arrow.
