Brigadier General Madelyn N. PARKS ANC (Ret), passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2002, born on August 28, 1923 in Jordan, Oklahoma, moved to Texas when an infant. She proudly served her country for over 30 years and participated in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. During her illustrious career she received numerous decorations including the Distinguished Service Medal. She retired to San Antonio Texas, during which time she enjoyed her Bridge Club, Gardening and spoiling her dogs. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Margaret Ledbetter of Richland, Washington. Survivors: sister, Sarah Beth Greenwell, Pine Bluff, Arkansas; brother, William H. (Bill) Norvell, San Antonio, TX; niece, Sally Ledbetter, Seattle, WA; nephew, Patrick and Linda Ledbetter, Richland, WA; great nieces, Jessica Ledbetter and Jordan Ledbetter, Richland, WA; life friend, MG Robert Bernstein, Austin, TX. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 1, 2002 from 2 o'clock to 4 o'clock at Porter Loring. SERVICE MONDAY- DECEMBER 2, 2002-1:30 P.M.
