Col. Patricia L. Accountius, US
Army (Ret.) entered into rest November 7, 2006, in San Antonio at
the age of 75. She was born December 16, 1930, in Lima, Ohio, to the
late William and Margaret (Faze) Accountius. Survivors include her
sister Barbara Wies and husband James; brother, Gaylord Accountius;
nieces, Sandra Bush and husband John, Terri Haithcock and husband
Anthony, and a host of other family and friends. She also leaves
behind her two beloved dogs Jetta and Megan. She was a member of
Windcrest American Legion Post 612, the Women's Overseas Service
League where she served as secretary at the national level, and
served as secretary for the Golden K Kiwanis Club. Graveside
services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2006, at
Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. A memorial
service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Army Residence Community,
with Chaplain James Taylor of the Windcrest American Legion Post
officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Army
Residence Community Kiwanis or to the charity of choice. Sunset
